Candle Care 101

Cotton Wicks

Always trim your wick to 1/4” before each lighting.

Allow the melted wax pool to reach the edges of the jar before extinguishing to prevent wax from building along the sides of the jar and tunneling.

We recommend burning for approximately 3 hours at a time, though no longer than 4 hours.

Wood Wicks

Before each use, trim or gently remove excess burnt wood on wick to 1/8-1/4”.

We recommend using a lighter or long matches. flame should be in contact with the wick for at least 10-15 seconds.

If flame extinguishes, re-light until the wick achieves a steady flame. It may take a few tries to allow the wax to start flowing up the wick.

Plan to burn your candle for at least 1-2 hours or until the top layer of wax has had a chance to completely melt. this will prevent tunneling and ensure you get the most out of your candle.

All Candles

Candle jars and tins will be hot after burning, so please allow wax to cool completely before handling.

Never leave a candle burning unattended, near any drafts, pets or children, or around flammable materials.

Inhale, exhale, and let there be light.

Wood wicks can need a little extra attention. We made you a video.
